Alfred C. Rapagna

For Fred, family was always his top priority. He had the patience of a saint and was a bit of a perfectionist: when he’d help you out with your house repairs. Fred wouldn‘t leave until everything was just right. You were never so blessed as to have his pasta sauce or his roast pork. Even into his nineties he never missed Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beverly. Fred was a graduate of Burlington High School in 1942. Earlier years found him working with his brother at Pioneer Railing and later years were spent as a supervisor for the Burlington County Bridge Commission. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corp and was stationed in Europe.
Fred is survived by his two children, Fred Rapagna and Gail (Michael) Fortino; two grandsons, Samuel and Nicholas; and his close, longtime friend, Doris Sasso. One of ten children he was preceded in death by siblings, Rose, Betty, Tony, Charles, Sub, Louis, Angelo, Peter and Alphonse and his parents, Delores and Frank Rapagna.
