Anne Garansi

Anne Garansi passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 28, 2017, with her family at her side.  She was 76.

Anne was born Julianna Wales on July 3rd, 1941 in Dundee, Scotland.  She lived in Scotland and South Africa before finally settling in New Jersey in 1987.  She worked as a nurse until she married and dedicated the rest of her life as a homemaker raising her six children.  Anne was an avid lover of horticulture and music, spending many years with her best friend Paula Rajaniemi at various singing spots in the Trenton, NJ and Bucks County, PA areas. Anne was known for her keen sense of humor and her love of her home country and she remained a true Scot throughout her whole life.

She is survived by her sister Valerie Cruikshank of Glasgow, Scotland, her husband Stephen Garansi of Riverside, NJ; her daughter Veronika Linton of Busby, Scotland with husband Alexander and sons Adam and Jack; her son Stephen Garansi Jr. of Dothan, AL with wife Helena Benefield Garansi, daughter Michaela and family; her son Darren Garansi of Hamilton Square, NJ with partner Ricky Alfaro; her daughter, Ashlea Garr of Aberdeen, NJ with husband Ethan and daughter Avery; her daughter Penelope Russell of Riverside, NJ with husband Angelo and son TyQuan; and her son Russell Garansi of Riverside, NJ.

She is preceded in death by her mother Jean Wren, father Jacobus Johannes Snaauw, stepfather  David Wren, her brother Colin Wren and her first husband Paul Csik.

A memorial service will be held at 4033 Nottingham Way in Hamilton Square, NJ on Saturday, August 5th at 1:30pm. Friends and family are welcome. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent in her name to the Lung Cancer Alliance or to the COPD Foundation
