Diane Barszcz

Diane Barszcz (nee Plante)
The day her daughter gave birth, a grandmother was born. In that role Diane was a little bit parent, a little bit teacher and a little bit best friend. She was there from Monday to Friday to help raise them, she never missed a soccer or t-ball game, she was always in the front row at dance recitals and was perpetually ready to crack open the books to help with their homework. But, regardless of age or relation she’d drop everything to help care for someone. She left her job to make sure her own children were raised properly and moved back in with her parents when they took ill. When she did have time for herself, she could usually be found watching soaps or reading about celebrity gossip; if you had a question about the Kardashians, chances are she had the answer.
During an evening of bowling at Riverside Lanes Diane was introduced to a young man named John. Before long they’d start their 40 years of marriage and make Riverside their home. Together, their lives were blessed by their children: Dan of Riverside and Kristy Fenimore (Shaun) of Delran and again by their grandchildren: Alexis and Marcus. Diane is also survived by her mother, Pauline Plante of Edgewater Park, her sister, Louise Callahan (Michael) of Burlington Township, her brother-in-law, George Barszcz (Susan) of Edgwater Park, sister-in-law, Mary Atkinson (David) of Mt. Holly and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Nicholas Plante and her siblings, Dennis and Francine Plante.
