Dorothy “Nan” Cobleigh

Dorothy’s support was never a big thing – it was a million little things. Her door was always open to anyone; family, friends and even strangers were always welcome. If you were facing adversity, regardless of the form, you knew that Nan always had your back. When she gave advice it was always from a point of knowledge, even if this meant she had to do some research beforehand. She never needed anything beyond her family to make her happy, that’s where she found her greatest joy. When it came to the grand and great-grandchildren there is nothing she would not do for them. She was known to crawl around on the floor with the little ones, always knew what each of their favorite foods were and made sure to keep it on hand and taught them the “proper” way to crab, without a trap. Her love for the younger members of her family was even reflected in her choice of music; she listened to everything from Glenn Miller to Usher. rn Dorothy is survived by her husband Robert of Delran. Together, their 61 year marriage was blessed by their children: Margaret Loignon (Charlie) of NC, Robert D. (Denise) of Medford, Cheryl Genovese (Frank) of Riverside, John of FL, Edie Santos (Bert) of Hainesport and the late Edward, and again by their 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.rn Come celebrate Dorothy’s 80 wonderful years (Oct. 20, 1932-Dec. 20, 2012) Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside where the service will be at 11.
