George States Jr.

George States Jr.

He was a guy on the move. George walked as far as his feet could take him, often from Riverside all the way to the Columbus Market. The money he’d find on his travels he’d save up and give to his church: George loved doing for others.
Earlier years found him working as a yardman for BF Goodrich.
He served during the occupation of Germany during World War II as an M.P., and in his later years he was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and is survived by his brother, James; his in-laws, Clair Conway, Joan and Don Makin, and Darlene and John Dement; and many nieces and nephews.
Come celebrate George’s 88 great years at 1:30 p.m., Friday, at Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
