Grace Louise Blackmon

Grace passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2017. She was born to the late Earl Bradford and Grace Marie Bradford (Dunmeyer) on March 31, 1929. Grace was a member of the Pemberton U.M. Church and loved singing in the choir and performing in the Christmas and Easter contadas each year. Later years found her living in Browns Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edwards Blackmon, her brother and sister, Earl (Butch) Bradford and Sandra Kato and a son, Robert Earl Hanks and a daughter, Nancy Ann Farmer. She is survived by her sister, Janet Wahl (Joe) of Endicott NY; her brother in law, Almon Hemore (Betty) of Houlton, ME; her sister-in-law, Ethel Bradford of Pennsylvania; her 8 remaining children, Harry “Dwayne” Beatty (Georgann) of Romney WV, Roberta Cabrera of Riverside, Charles (Norma) Hanks of Delanco, William Hanks (Sharon) of Levittown PA, Barbara Church (Garry) of Hammonton, Linda Warriner (George) of Myrtle Beach SC, Louise Weaver (Mark) of Edgewater Park, Christopher Blackmon (Annette) of Browns Mills; her daughter-in-law, Rita Hanks; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; step children, Kenneth (Joy) Blackmon of NC, Barbara (Tom) Waleiko of NC, Deborah (John) Vilsmeier of Holland PA, Michael (Karen) Blackmon of NJ and Terry Blackmon; and many nieces and nephews.
Come celebrate 88 great years Thursday Nov. 30 10 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly where there will be a service at noon. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. Donations in her name to Alzheimer’s Assoc. (Alz.org) will be appreciated.
