Lester “Sam” Jackson Sr.

Lester “Sam” Jackson Sr.

It didn’t take a whole lot to make him happy, Lester liked to keep his life simple. Family of course was his passion. Lester was a strict parent, but only out of love: he raised quality children and hearing about any family members’ accomplishments would always get him excited. Most of his life was contained in the one square mile of Riverside which was full of lifelong friends. He was always a hard worker and was an inspector at the Regal Corrugated Box Company and cheered on all the Philly teams. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Riverside.

Lester was the husband of the late Shirley and the father of Lisa Williams, Bob Williams and Lester Jackson Jr.. His later years found him paling around with his grandson, Justin: they frequented more than a few Phillies games together.

Come celebrate 79 great years, Saturday 10-11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside where there will be an 11 a.m. service. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
