Ruth Lucile Kent Schretzenmarie

Ruth Lucile Kent Schretzenmaire, was born March 1, 1928, in Philadelphia Pa. to the late William sr. & Cora-Lee Kent. She departed this life on 15 February 2017. Mom joined the church as a young child, and sang on the choir throughout her youth. Mom loved to sing, growing up in our home song was everywhere! Mom was often invited to sing at the neighborhood VFW’s annual ”Tea” during the Easter & Christmas season. Mom attended the Philadelphia school system and excelled in all her studies especially math, as a result lVlom worked as a bookkeeper until she was married.

On April 18, 1950, a ”Love Story” begin which eternallyjoined two hearts together Mom was united in Holy matrimony to our Dad, Charles W. Schretzenmaire. From this union 4 children were born, Ruth (Candy), Charles Jr. (Chuck), Ja’nelle (Jan) and April.

Growing up as children, we were raised in the church and taught what it means to be of good character, through extensive traveling we were exposed to the wonders of nature and history and very loved.

Mom was a Social Butterfly & loved people; that served her well, she and dad were honored to sit on the Board of Trustees for the Neighborhood Senior Citizen Health Center until 2011. During this time, Mom was greatly involved with Community Fund Raisers, for which she never missed an opportunity to bake cupcakes and her famous Lemon cakes. Mom was a ”fashion bug” & indulged herself in hair, make-up & jewelry. ”Ms. Ruth was a lady and a lady always

knows when to leave.”

Mom leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband Charles Sr., 4 children; Candy, Chuck, Jan and April; 1 Son -in-law, Edward B. Ragin, sister Caroline and Brother Robert, two siblings who proceeded her in death, William Kent Jr and

Alice Plummer.

11 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.

Mom left a legacy of kindness and love, which touched the hearts of everyone that knew her.

Mom is deeply loved and will be forever missed!
